My reflection on social networks, and on the art of staying connected to my family of heart and mind— without allowing time or creative momentum to be stolen — continues to unfold.
In this spirit, I have opened a space on Substack , in English only, in resonance with the Artist's Journal (blog) of this site.
For now, this format appeals to me for its minimalism, its gift of a creative freedom.
It feels far more in tune with what our time is longing for: an agora where one can share aspirations, visions, and creations… far from the ageing, voracious Meta tools that capture our attention and siphon away our free time (and our ideas).
This is not a new El Dorado: moderation has been subject to criticism and the conditions of visibility are certainly biased. But… here, everyone publishes at their own pace, freely and in an open format — without having to bend to the opaque injunctions of algorithms in order to remain visible on our network’s screens (daily stories).
For now, I get to read my favorite authors every day, and those who follow me regularly receive my notes, without being polluted by inappropriate ads. → Optimized focus!
My page ' ~ Beyond the Visible ' is an Artist's Journal enriched with traces, fragments and imprints, bearing witness to everything that inspires me and becomes — or does not — matter.
I hope to make it a space where painting becomes more than an image — a place where meditation, textures, silences, and fragments of the invisible take form.
Each post will be both a snapshot of life in the studio and a window into the hidden stages of the creative process: what inspires me, what resists me, what gently unfolds beneath the veils of consciousness or behind the surface of the canvas.
Sometimes, this journey will lead us to the far reaches of the Himalayas for actions imbued with love, into the heart of more intimate emotions, or into to my little garden, the zendo or onto the great beach of Saint-Cast for moments of pure contemplation...
