AN EQUANIMOUS HEART HAS THE POWER TO DEFUSE ALL WARS
 As an engaged Zen practitioner and visual artist, mobilizing in forms and colors the pacifist force of an equanimous heart had become as burning as it was urgent.
 This painting is a plea for peace and an ode to the power of art as a means of reparation, fraternity, and an inspired global vision.
 The poet Rumi invites...: " Come out of the circle of time, and into the circle of love" , the one where Benzaiten (弁財天), the Japanese goddess of the arts (~ Saraswati), wisdom and longevity is. She is also considered one of the most powerful warrior deities.
 In the circle of love, Benzaiten plays the biwa, for the benefit of all beings. The soukhoi, mig, burst, f-16 of the civil protection return to the base; the fertile lands infuse their cadmium yellow into the celestial space which, if it remains tumultuous — the phenomena cannot be stopped — does not affect the living matter through egotic or narcissistic storms.
 Love, solidarity, harmony prevail.
 Yellow and blue, the earth-matter and the heaven-transcendence marry gently; Ukraine in the background — soon to be a resilient symbol of a united Europe, aware and united around the urgency of climate change and socio-economic issues.
 This is the first time I've used the two large studio seals (" Art as Dharma Rain " and " Painting to Liberate All Beings ") at the same time.
 The canvas demands to speak in a strong and confident voice.  :)
